Don’t Go

November 13th 2021 | ASU Gammage | Sojourn Theatre

Halley is the choreographer for “Don’t Go”, an original performance by
Sojourn Theatre. “Don’t Go” is commissioned & supported by ASU Gammage and will premiere in the Beyond Series in November 2021.

Sojourn Theatre’s newest devised work in development, Don’t Go: a three act journey of shared tasks, intimate exchanges, difficult conversations, a staged eruption of an epic story...and a final coming together. Project Core Question: In a time of hyper-polarization, what tools can we imagine, what practice can we host to explore the revolutionary act of staying in community, even, perhaps especially, across difference?

Stories That Move You

Spring 2021 | Daley PArk | Dance Film INSTALLATION

Stories That Move You is a series of three short films inspired by letters written to Daley Park from community members. The dancers, letter writers and choreographer/director live near the Park and know it well. Together we tell our story of the Park in the form of a public installation that can be viewed by park goers as they please over the course of Spring 2021. The locations of the installation will correlate to the location in the park where the dance was filmed, taking park goers on a journey around the park to enjoy the stories of the parks community in their own time and space. This project is funded by the City of Tempe and is a part of the Tempe Arts in the Parks
